Eghe Nimose Biography

Born Aghayedo Kelvins Eghosa on March 25, 1983 in Benin City. Eghe Nimose is a Nigerian musician, song writer, producer and tech innovator. His style is mainly Congolese rumba and reggae. His appearance in the music scene started early 2020 when he released two short (2min less) songs “Stay Home (COVID19 campaign song)” and “Ghe Kpa“.

In December 2020, Eghe Nimose released his debut album “RumbaDub” which featured U.S Rapper Wordplay T. Jay and Nigerian artist SOJ Da Legend. The album which was mainly characterised with vocals in Bini dialect was initially a 10 track album, later three (3) additional short songs (the previously released short songs) where added. It was released under Miracle World Entertainment, a Bordeaux based record label own by his friend Lucky Obazee. The album was his first glimpse into the music industry, from which he learnt lessons and experiences which have contributed immensely to his further growth.

Before venturing into music and entertainment, Eghe Nimose has been engulfed with computing and technology, mainly software development. He founded and still maintain a software firm, EntriFlex Technologies in Abuja. He is currently studying for his Masters in Software Engineering (M.Sc) with Nasarawa State University, Keffi (Nigeria) and also an M.Ba (Masters in Business Administration) with UNICAF.

His music style is a mix of Congolese rumba, reggae and dub. Though sometimes, you can feel a blend of Afrobeat, Highlife, R&B and even Soukous. He called this combination “RumbaDub”, hence the alias “RumbaDub Master”. He often sings about love, pains, romance, mysteries and philosophy. Most notable on his songs is his voice which many say is a sharp contrast of his age as he sound younger and feminine, like the likes of Papa Wemba, Ferre Gola. He plays the acoustic guitars and piano and often produces most of his music.

His musical background is linked to his local church (Church of God Mission, Benin – Nigeria) where he started as a choir member, then a bass guitarist, a pianist and much more, a music director. His love for the acoustic guitar started when he first heard and fell in love with the song “eternellement” by Fally Ipupa and Koffi Olomide).

Eghe Nimose is a Nigerian, not Congolese or French. He grew up in the ancient city of Benin and attended Arinze Primary School, Immaculate Conception College and the University of Benin. Some mistake his music for Lingala Congolese because of the melodious rumba tunes, but actually he is always singing in French, English, Bini and some bits of Lingala Congolese. He taught himself these languages from the internet and has never been to DR Congo or France (as at the time of this post).

Eghe Nimose was born into a very poor family. So poor that all eight of them live under a tiny single room. His dad had him at 19 and mum at 17 out of wedlock. He grew up with his maternal parents and siblings in Benin City, he suffered basic needs such as food and shelter. As a five (5) year old kid, he often goes to street trading basic food items after school with his sister (Imuwahen Loveth). He is the second child from a family of five (5), his father Mike Oyomoare Aghayedo is a retired Nigerian Naval Officer. His mother is Stella, a Spanish-based business woman and elderly home care-giver. His uncles are four, most notable of them is Vincent Osarenoma Aghayedo, whom he attributed most of his growing up fatherly role to.

In 2006, when as a young student in the University, Eghe Nimose won the award of the Best Software Developer in Nigeria, awarded by the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and SystemSpecs Ltd, after successfully designed an enterprise software. Today, Eghe Nimose is the founder of EntriFlex Technologies, a software and tech firm in Abuja, Nigeria. They are the developers of enterprise applications such as Profitaa BPM and Hospital Software, HospiCare.

Eghe Nimose is often reserved, calm, private and often enjoy the company of his private recording studio, in his apartment and work from home mostly. He is fashionable and love adorning himself with jewelries, from earrings and necklaces, like a lady you will say. He also rock dread locks like a Rastafarian and mostly dresses in suits wears.
